FFA

Riverton FFA has been very busy in the last month.
Six students received their FFA State Degrees.  This is the highest award that FFA students can receive in Utah.  The recipients were: Shaylyn Knappenberger, Kyndriee Green, Amy Turcotte, Michelle Davenport, Nicole McDonald and Joselin Nevarez.

Students also did well in the FFA Agriscience Fair.
Shaylyn Knappenberger placed 2nd in Environmental Science with a project about temperature and rattlesnakes.
Nicole McDonald and Kaitlyn Knappenberger placed 3rd in Social Systems with a project about consumer ideas concerning organic foods.
Kimberly McClellan placed 2nd in Food Science and products with her project about the physical differences between organic and conventionally raised chicken.

40 students will be competing in April in 9 different competitions.  We are looking forward to competing in Livestock Judging, Horse Judging, Dairy Judging, Agricultural Issues, Agricultural Communications, Poultry Judging, Vet Science, Floriculture, and Milk and milk products.  Good luck at the state competition!!
