Teacher Spotlight

Max Meyer


Max Meyer is a native of Cleveland, Ohio but grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania.  His teaching experience includes Percussion Director of American Fork High School, Performing Arts Educator at Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts, Director of Fusion Percussion Ensemble, and Front Ensemble Coordinator for Erie All City Marching Band, McDowell Marching Band, Northeast Marching Band, Fairview Marching Band, and Weber State Indoor Percussion.

From 2008-2010, Max was actively involved in Drum Corps Associates (DCA) with The Empire Statesmen and White Sabers, both based out of Rochester, New York.  Throughout the fall and spring concert seasons, he participated in mentoring middle school and high school students in the Erie Junior Philharmonic.  Max has also arranged music for Fairview High School, McDowell High School, and E.P.I.C. Indoor Percussion Ensemble and here at Riverton High School.

Max is a member of the Hilltop Gospel Choir and Utah Wind Symphony.  He graduated Cum Laude from Edinboro University with his Bachelor Degree in Music Education
