FCCLA NEWS
January
and February have been really busy for RHS FCCLA. FCCLA Region
Conference was on February 4th. Students have been working and preparing
to compete in STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition).
The
students represented RHS well and received the following recognition at Region:
GOLD: Kyra Eccles, Ashley
Lund, Serena Rausch, Amiee Scott,
SILVER: Braden Anderson, Katja Akiyama, Emma Angell, Alyssa Costanza, Emma
Geersteen, Mason Francis, Harley Hamilton, Kaylee Holmes, Erin Jessen, Dallin McCarthur,
Aspen Rodriguez, Cole Nebeker, Megan Sansom, Madison Sansom, Janika Sorenson,
Victoria Steeneck, Colby Stone, Jordan Thorell, Morgan Thorpe, Shelby
Wickham, Anyah Zupanic

February
8-12 was National FCCLA Week. The RHS FCCLA officers planned activities
for each day that included Plinko FCCLA Trivia, and “Lunch Art in the Commons”,
RHS Chapter Lunch Bunch on Wednesday and TGI-FCCLA Friday (Thank Goodness It’s
FCCLA Friday) Breakfast was Friday morning.
Students
are now preparing for the FCCLA State Conference, which will be held on March
22nd, and 23rd at the Davis Convention Center. Their STAR Events are very
well done and we wish them the best of luck as they compete with students from
all over the state.
Chapter
activities will be on Thursday March 11th and April 14th. Applications
for RHS Chapter Officer will be available on April 1st from any FACS
teacher. The date in May for the closing social and induction of the new
officers will be announced at a later date.
